Welcome to the 2025 Spring Season! We’re thrilled to have you and your players as part of the MVPB community. Please thoroughly read this post. It contains important information about your player’s upcoming season; including evaluation schedules, timelines, and key dates.
Player Evaluations – January 18, 2025
Key Details
- MVPB Evals will be held at the PONY Complex located at 41580 Fig St in Murrieta.
- Check-in Location: In front of the Red Snack Bar.
- What Happens at Check-In:
- Players will receive their check-in tag.
- Confirm jersey and hat sizes.
- Evaluation Process:
- After check-in, proceed to your division’s designated field.
- Evaluations take approximately one hour.
- Evaluations for each division will conclude 30 minutes after the last scheduled time slot.
- Minimum Equipment Needed for Evals:
- Batting Helmet
- USA Certified Bat
- Baseball Glove

- Mustang: 9:00 AM
- Pony: 9:00 AM
- Shetland: 1:00 PM
- Bronco: 1:00 PM

What To Do If You Can’t Attend
We understand that things happen, and some players may not be able to attend evaluations. If your player cannot make it, please notify the Player Agent at playeragent@mvpb.org so we can plan accordingly. Players who do not evaluate will be placed on a team at random.
Missed Your Assigned Time or Arriving Late?
If you miss your assigned time, arrive late, or don’t see your name on the evaluation list, don’t worry! We’ll have a standby line available. Standby players will be evaluated as no-show slots become available, but please be prepared to wait.
Post-Evaluation Timeline
- Week of January 20, 2025: Player drafts will be held.
- January 27, 2025: Team rosters will be finalized, and managers will receive their assignments.
- By January 29, 2025: Families will hear from their assigned team manager.
Practices Begin February 1, 2025
Practices will officially start on February 1st. Before that date, your team’s manager will confirm:
- Your player’s jersey size and uniform number.
- Uniform orders will be finalized prior to February 1st, so please communicate with your manager promptly.
Managers will also begin recruiting volunteers for assistant managers and team parents. If you’re interested in helping, please let your manager know.
Opening Day is March 1, 2025
Mark your calendars! Opening Day will be a fun-filled event with plenty of activities and team photos. Additional details will be shared as we get closer to the date, so stay tuned for updates from the league and your team parent.
