Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball, Inc. is a California non-profit corporation and an IRS designated non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-deferred organization. Our Tax I.D. No. is 33-0629968.
We have been a PONY Baseball, Inc. affiliated organization since our inception in Fall of 1994.
Our mission at Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball is to operate with one purpose in mind – to make this a rewarding place for our children to play baseball, make friends, and to develop positive, long-lasting memories. We achieve these goals with the help and dedication of our wonderful parents and sponsors who understand the importance of youth sports and the positive roles that can play in a child’s life. It is a league founded by volunteers. Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball (MVPB) is a non-profit organization, and its officers and members have all volunteered to keep this league going and be the best in the region. Our complex and all you see are the result of dedicated parents, volunteers, and sponsors who have stepped up and donated their time, talents, and resources to create a complex exclusive to MVPB. That is our support system to maintain our league. Through the efforts of our wonderful families and a very generous community, we have developed a solid foundation for this league, and will continue to grow and thrive for years to come.
PONY Baseball is “real baseball”. Except for our youngest divisions, we play by “Major League Rules” and with that, offer a much more exciting brand of baseball for both our players and parents to enjoy. Our local high school baseball programs feature a majority of former Murrieta Valley PONY players due to the success and teaching our league has to offer. However, despite the success we have had developing players for the next level; we fully understand this league is for all who wish to participate. Our local rules are focused on making this a positive experience for ALL of our children whether they aspire to major league dreams or simply want a place to play and enjoy youth sports with their friends and family. We work hard to select coaches that not only know baseball, but are truly focused on the development and enjoyment of EACH player on their roster. This is extremely important to us. With our generous “minimum play” rules and “batting the whole roster”, we feel our league is among the leaders in assuring that each child will have a chance at his or her moment to shine, game after game.
The Board of Directors welcomes you to our league. We ask for your support in making this a special place for our children to play and that the example of good sportsmanship starts with us, the parents. Although most of our games our competitive, and some teams win and others lose on occasion, we must never forget that we are here for the kids who play. It is their time to shine, make new friends, and to create positive memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to all who coach, our team parents, score keepers, sponsors, and those of you who come out each week to support your children and this league.
