Effective 2019 PONY implemented a new age key to determine division placement:

PONY Baseball is broken down into 8 Divisions:

Foal 4u

Our Foal program is for league age 3 and 4 year old’s to learn the basics of the fun game of baseball. Players hit from the tee. Score is not kept and everyone plays!

Shetland 6u

Shetland is for league age 5 and 6 year old’s to learn the basics of the fun game of baseball. Shetland uses a spring loaded arm for pitching in order to help young players with their swinging mechanics and timing. Though focused on development for the next level, Shetland games are competitive, scored, and have more of a “traditional” baseball feel. Feel free to email the Shetland Division Director with any questions: shetland@mvpb.org.

Pinto-Machine Pitch 8u

Our machine pitch program is for league age 7 and 8 year old’s who, at the discretion of their parents, aren’t quite ready for player pitch. Play is almost identical to our PINTO program except that batters face a pitching machine. Have more questions? Send an email to our Pinto Division Director: pinotmp@mvpb.org.

Pinto-Kid Pitch 8u

Our Pinto program is for league age 8 year old’s. It introduces them to player pitch and scorekeeping. This division travels to compete against other local Pinto programs in Menifee, French Valley and Temecula. Have more questions? Send an email to our Pinto Division Director: pinotmp@mvpb.org.

Mustang 10u

Our Mustang program is for league aged 9 and 10 year old’s. Major League rules are enforced on a smaller (60′ bases / 44′ mound) field. Have more questions? Send an email to our Mustang Division Director: mustang@mvpb.org.

Bronco 12u

Our Bronco program is for league aged 11 and 12 year old’s. Full Major League rules are enforced on a 70′ diamond.

Pony

Our PONY program is for league aged 13 and 14 year old’s. Players in the program use an 80 foot diamond. This program also plays by the full Major (National) League rules.

Colt/Palomino

Our Colt Division is a combined Colt/Palomino Division taking 15-19 year old’s. The game is played by full Major (American) League rules, and is played on the same (90 foot baseline) sized diamond as the pros use!
