Holiday Breaks:
- Presidents’ Day Weekend: No games, practices, or events February 14–17, 2025.
- MVUSD Spring Break: No games, practices, or events March 29–April 6, 2025.
Important Dates:
- Mandatory Assessments: January 18, 2025, at the Murrieta Valley Pony Baseball Complex (time TBD). (**Players who do not attend will be randomly assigned to teams on February 1, 2025.)
- Teams Formed: The week of January 25, 2025.
- Practices Begin: February 1, 2025.
- Opening Day: March 1, 2025.
- Season Ends: May 17, 2025.
- Early Bird Discount Ends: November 30, 2024.
- Late Registration Fee Begins: A $50 late fee will apply starting January 19, 2025, so please register before then. Registration closes once divisions are full.
Key Information:
- 14 Regular Season Games: Shetland and up. All teams make the playoffs! Note: Weather-related cancellations may result in lost games, and makeup games aren’t guaranteed.
- League Age: Based on your player’s age on April 30, 2025, per PONY’s updated chart.
- Play Up Requests: If you’d like your child to play in a higher division, they must evaluate in both their current and desired divisions. Players must score at or above the median, and age-appropriate players have priority if space is limited.
Refund Policy: Registration fees are refundable until January 17, 2025, with a $75 processing fee. After January 17, all fees are non-refundable.
Volunteer and Team Requirements:
- Non-Volunteer Fee: A $100 fee per account will be charged at registration. Complete 8 hours of service (snack bar duty, setup, assessments, etc.) for a full reimbursement.
- Team Sponsorship: Each team must secure a $300 sponsorship before uniforms and caps are issued. If no sponsor is provided, costs will be split among players. No hold checks or credit cards are accepted for this fee.
